The Glace Bay Miners and Valley needed double overtime to break a 3-3 tie Sunday afternoon at the Miners Forum.

Valley was coming off a win over the County Islanders on Saturday, while the Miners defeated Cape Breton West to earn their spot in the Championship game. 

Carson Hogan, Tucker Sinclair and Gavin Sudds would score in regulation time for Glace Bay. 

Luke Forse scored two, while Hayden Whynot netted the third Valley goal to set the stage for overtime. 

Both team would battle back and forth, trading chances. Glace Bay thought they scored to win the game in the second overtime period, but the goal was waved off. 

Jesse Sinclair would eventually end the game for Valley with just over a minute remaining in the second OT to finishing off the scoring 4-3.
