Fans have been very patient--okay maybe not so patient--but the 2021 Expedition League season schedule has been released.
The Pierre Trappers will open their 64-game season schedule with a 3-game home stand starting on May 25th against Hastings followed by a couple of games with Western Nebraska. Game times at Hyde Stadium will be at 7:05, except for three Sunday games that will start at 5:35 on June 27, July 4 and July 11.
The All-Star Extravaganza will be held July 19-20, 2021, at Mike Lansing Field in Casper, Wyoming, home of the Casper Horseheads. Fan Fest, including the Home Run Derby, will be held on July 19th and the All-Star game and other events will be held on July 20th.
The Expedition League’s divisional playoff games will take place August 9-11, 2021, with the League Championship Series to crown the Expedition League Champion held August 13-15, 2021.
The Expedition League operates two divisions, the Lewis Division and the Clark Division. With two new teams added for the 2021 season and some divisional realignment, the Lewis Division is comprised of the Badlands Big Sticks, Canyon County Spuds, Casper Horseheads, Mining City Tommyknockers, Souris Valley Sabre Dogs and Wheat City Whiskey Jacks. The Clark Division is comprised of the Fremont Moo, Hastings Sodbusters, Pierre Trappers, Sioux Falls Sunfish, Spearfish Sasquatch and Western Nebraska Pioneers.
