Hockey / Covid Restrictions Extended

Covid Restrictions Extended

Date:  Source: Glace Bay Minor Hockey Association

Good afternoon everyone,

We want to let you all know that earlier today, the province extended the restrictions announced on Dec. 16 for an additional two weeks. That means that the current restrictions (outlined in earlier emails below) will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 24.

Compared to other areas of the country, we know our players are fortunate to be able to practice with their teammates. However, we also know that many of our members are extremely disappointed that they are not yet able to play games.

We have been in regular contact with Public Health while these restrictions have been in place and we will continue to advocate on behalf of our membership. We are confident in our Rebound Plan. We have made it clear to the government that we want to get our teams back to playing games as soon as possible. We will continue to express this to the province on your behalf.

Thank you all for your continued cooperation.

Yours in hockey,
