The Pierre Trappers have continued to build their 2020 season roster with the signing of six more players. With the announcement, their roster stands at 13, with a few more announcements to come in the coming weeks.
Here is a look at the six newest signings for 2020:
Jerson Morales, Right Handed Pitcher, Western Nebraska Community College: Morales will be coming into his second season with the Trappers, after making 11 appearances (six starts) for Pierre in 2019. In those 11 appearances, he struck out 23 in 33.1 innings. Jerson is heading into his redshirt freshman year at WNCC. He is from the Dominican Republic.
Miguel Baez, Right Handed Pitcher, Western Nebraska Community College: Baez, who went to the same high school (Miami Christian) as Morales, is currently a freshman at WNCC. He, also, hails from the Dominican Republic.
Kadin McDonald, Infielder, Olympic College: McDonald is a freshman at Olympic College in Washington and is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Gage Davis, Left Handed Pitcher/Designated Hitter, Olympic College: Davis is a Mill Creek, Washington native who is also a freshman at Olympic College.
Max Patterson, Right Handed Pitcher, Olympic College: Patterson, from Honolulu, Hawaii, rounds out the trio of freshmen from Olympic College. He is the first Hawaiian to sign with the Trappers.
Colin Smith, Left Handed Pitcher, Aquinas College: Colin has signed on to return to the Trappers for a second summer. The senior lefty appeared in ten games (eight starts) with the Trappers in 2019. He posted a 3-3 record and struck out 37 batters in 36.1 innings of work. HE is from Kingstown, Michigan.
