Presidents' Cup 2022
Date: Jun 21, 2022
For the second straight year a team from Quebec will compete at Founders Cup, the Junior B box lacrosse championship. North Shore Kodiaks (Kodiaks Rive-Nord) are one of two Quebec teams who compete in the Ontario Junior C Lacrosse League. Kodiaks are a co-op of four lacrosse associations - Blainville Barons, Laval Titans, St-Eustache Diablo, and Mustangs Lacrosse (Terrebonne) - compete in the OJCLL Far East Division with Eastern Townships Extreme Eagles, Cornwall Celtics and Nepean Knights. After an 11-5 regular season the Kodiaks were eliminated in the playoff quarterfinals by Clarington Shamrox. Since then the team has been preparing for their trip to Winnipeg.

Leading the team in scoring is Davin Miller (39 goals, 33 assists) who was eighth among league leading scorers. Marc-Alexandre Galarneau (26 goals, 22 assists), Zachary Miller (16 goals, 25 assists), Raphael Lamothe (20 goals, 22 assists), Andrew MacArthur (15 goals, 12 assists) and Evan Reynolds (11 goals, 17 assists) all posted double-digit goal totals.
"Founders Cup means a lot for us here in Quebec," commented captain Davin Miller. "We generally don’t have as high level lacrosse as some other provinces like BC and Ontario. To be able to compete in the biggest Junior B tournament in Canada is huge for our association and for Quebec lacrosse. We have a very young team with some promising talent, and for these young players to get a taste of high end lacrosse early on in their careers will be key in their development down the line!"
In net the Kodiaks rely on Félix-Antoine Simard who saw action in 13 of their 18 games this summer. David Pellicione started five games in 2019 and both are veterans of Founders Cup 2018 where the team placed sixth of eight teams.
