Canadian Lacrosse Association’s 2021 National Championships: March Update

Date:  Source: Canadian Lacrosse Association

The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) appreciates that the lacrosse community is eager to know what the future holds for our 2021 National Championships.

After consultations with Member Associations, sectors and host organizations, the Board of Directors decided at the March 17 meeting to delay making any firm decisions on National Championships until early May. In support of our hosts and Member Associations in planning for the 2021 season, the Board of Directors will meet the first week of May to discuss this year’s National Championships.

National Championships are an important part of the Canadian lacrosse community for athletes, coaches, and officials. To date, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the cancellation of the 2020 CLA National Championships and the postponement of the Canada Summer Games from 2021 to 2022.

Further information about the CLA’s 2021 National Championships and timelines will be communicated following the Board of Director’s meeting in May. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
