ELKVILLE, IL - The 2019 Prospect League Playoffs are set to begin to play tonight, Thursday, August 8, 2019!

The first round is a one-game, winner-take-all game hosted by the top team in each division.

The West Division Championship Game will be in Cape Girardeau, Mo., between the Cape Catfish (43-17) and DuPage Pistol Shrimp (34-25) at Capaha Field. The West Division playoff teams played their inaugural seasons this summer. Game time 6:30 PM.

The East Division Championship Game is Thursday in Danville, Ill., between the Danville Dans (40-20) and Chillicothe Paints (40-20) at Danville Stadium, Game time 6:35 PM.

The Prospect League Championship Series is a best-of-three series between the winners of the divisional round and begins Saturday, August 10. Game one will be hosted by the team with the lesser regular-season record. After an off day, game two and, if necessary, game three will be hosted by the team with the better regular-season record Monday, August 12 and Tuesday, August 13.
