CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by Adena Health System, made two errors in the third inning, allowing the West Virginia Miners to score five runs in a 7-5 loss at VA Memorial Stadium Friday night.

Chillicothe (28-17) scored first. Cody Orr singled to lead off the bottom of the first and score on a throwing error during a double play attempt.

West Virginia (16-29) scored five times in the top of the third, taking advantage of two Paints errors. Four of the five runs were unearned. It was the second time in as many games the Paints allowed five runs in an inning, just the third time all season (45 games).

Ethan Hajdukovic hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning, cutting the Miners' lead to 5-3.

Ross Mulhall hit a solo home run in the top of the fifth and Michael Piniero's two-out RBI single in the seventh extended the West Virginia lead to 7-3 at the stretch.

Chris Eisel hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh, cutting the deficit to 7-5, but that's how the game ended.

Chillicothe wraps up the homestand with a 7:05 p.m. game against the Miners Saturday night at VA Memorial Stadium. It's Budweiser Can Koozie Giveaway Night and also Party with the Paints by Budweiser, featuring live music after the game by Frank Grasso.
