DANS ADD A CATCHER TO THEIR ROSTER FOR THE STRETCH RUN

ELKVILLE, IL - The The Danville Dans have signed Steven Kokoski, a catcher from Fredonia, PA, and a redshirt freshman at St. Leo University to a contract for the 2019 season. He did not see any action for Saint Leo this season.

Kokoski transferred to Saint Leo from Niagara University after one season where he appeared in 16 games and started 11 of them behind the plate for the Purple Eagles. In his limited playing time as a freshman, he recorded six hits, including two doubles, a home run, four RBI and he scored three runs.

A 2017 graduate from Lakeview High School in Stoneboro, PA, in his senior year he played in 20 games and hit .590 with eight home runs and 36 RBI. He was a Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American in his senior season and a Perfect Game High Honorable Mention Underclass All-American in his junior season. In both seasons he took home the Region 10 Player of the Year Award.
