HAMILTON, ON - Four to go.

 

The Barrie Baycats defeated the Hamilton Cardinals 14-2 on Wednesday evening to win their best-of-seven semi-final series 4-0.

 

Baycats ace Frank Garces recorded the victory, tossing six innings while giving up one earned run on six hits and zero base on balls, while striking out nine batters along the way.

 

Baycats second basemen Kevin Atkinson led the way at the plate, going four-for-six with five runs batted in.

 

Cardinals starter Josh Freeman took the loss, tossing four and one-third of an inning while giving up nine earned runs on ten hits and five base on balls, while striking out two batters along the way.
