Entenza leads Panthers past Red Sox

Noelvis Entenza threw seven scoreless innings to lead the Kitchener Panthers to a 4-0 win over the Brantford Red Sox Thursday night at Arnold Anderson Stadium. 

Entenza (1-0) scattered three hits while walking three and striking out five.

Offensively, Brian Burton hit a solo home run. Mike Andrulis had two hits and two RBI, and Mike Gordner drove in a run. 

David Mendham had two of Brantford's three hits. 

Euclides Leyer (0-1) took the loss, allowing two runs on four hits over seven innings. He walked four and struck out six.  Game 2 in the series is in Kitchener Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Game 3 will also be in Kitchener at 2 p.m. Sunday.
