Rodriguez leads Baycats past Majors to extend win steak to thirteen games

LONDON, ON - Win streak extended.

 

The Barrie Baycats defeated the London Majors 6-4 on Sunday evening to finish their regular-season 27-8.

 

With the loss, the Majors end their regular-season with a record of 20-16.

 

Baycats reliever Adam Hawes recorded the victory, tossing two innings while giving up one earned run on two hits and one base on balls, while striking out one batter along the way.

 

Baycats shortstop Starlin Rodriguez led the way at the plate, going two-for-five with three runs batted in.

 

Baycats closer Chris Nagorski recorded a six-out save.

 

Majors reliever Mike DeLong took the loss, tossing zero innings (plus three batters) while giving up three earned runs on zero hits and three base on balls, while striking out zero batters along the way.

The Baycats return to action on Thursday evening for game one of their best-of-five first round series against the Burlington Herd.

 

First pitch is set for 7:30 pm from Coates Stadium in Midhurst.
