BRANTFORD – Justin Gideon went 4-for-5 to lead the Burlington Herd to an 10-2 win over the Brantford Red Sox Friday night at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Gideon singled twice and doubled twice and also scored twice and added two RBI.

Vaughn Bryan had two hits, three runs and an RBI, Mattingly Romanin drove in a run, Canice Ejoh had two hits and an RBI, Andrew Mercier drove in a pair, Ben Braun singled twice and scored twice, and Nolan Pettipiece went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run.

Casey Bouillere-Howard (2-1) struck out six over 7.1 scoreless innings. He scattered two hits and walked six.

Burlington improved to 7-14.

Dennon Koziol singled, doubled and drove in a run for the Red Sox, which fell to 7-12. Andris Rizquez had an RBI, while David Mendham doubled and scored.

Graham Tebbit (3-2) took the loss, giving up eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits with three walks and two strikeouts in five innings.

NOTE: Burlington's game Thursday night against London was postponed in the fourth inning due to lightning. It will be replayed in its entirety as part of a doubleheader at a later date.
