GUELPH – The Burlington Herd's streak continues.
Since beating Guelph 6-3 earlier this month, Burlington has alternated between wins and losses each game since. Saturday afternoon's 8-4 win over the Royals at David E. Hastings Stadium was the 11th straight time it has happened.
Vaughn Bryan had two hits, two RBI and two runs to pace the Herd's offence. Reese O'Farrell singled, doubled and had an RBI and a run, Justin Gideon and Mattingly Romanin each had an RBI, Grant Okawa drove in a pair and scored once, and Robbie Cant singled twice and had a run.
Tyler Herr (3-0) picked up the win, scattering three hits over 3.1 scoreless innings of relief. He walked two and struck out five.
Casey Bouillere-Howard started and gave up four runs on six hits in 5.2 innings. He walked three and struck out five.
Burlington is 6-13.
Sean Reilly had a solo home run for the Royals, who fell to 7-13. Brendan Keys singled, doubled and had an RBI and a run, while Adam Rossit and Jeff MacLeod had an RBI apiece. Darius Barlas singled twice.
Yomar Concepcion (1-3) took the loss, allowing seven runs on six hits over 7.1 innings with six walks and five strikeouts.
