Reilly Reaches 900 IBL Hits as Royals Down Hamilton

Hamilton was the home team, but the game was played in Guelph as the Cardinals wait for their stadium's new grass to take root.  


Garton went 4-for-6 with a home run. He also scored twice and stole a base. Reilly doubled home a pair of runs in the fifth inning, which was to be his 900th IBL hit,  and added a sacrifice fly in the seventh to account for three of his RBI. 

Ethan Mohan singled twice and scored twice while driving in a run, Justin Interisano had two hits and an RBI, and Darius Barlas went 2-for-3 with four runs. Matthew Pilarczik scored twice.

Edwin Javier (3-3) went seven innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on 11 hits. He walked two and struck out seven. 

For Hamilton, Jacob Martins and David Vanderby each had two hits and an RBI. Jon Dziomba went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run, Grant Arnold drove in a pair, Jake Foden had three hits and two runs, and Connor Bowie, Laine Renaud and Matt Casburn had a hit and a run apiece. 

Josh Freeman (3-2) took the loss, giving up nine runs (seven earned) on eight hits over four innings. He walked two and struck out seven. 

Guelph improved to 7-11, and Hamilton fell to 5-10.
