CAMBRIDGE - The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) announced today that Guelph outfielder Ethan Mohan and Kitchener right-handed starter Christian Hauck have been named the League’s Batter and Pitcher of the Week for the period from June 11-17. This is the second time this season Guelph has been honoured as the Kitchener Panthers have captured the Pitcher of the Week three times this season.

ETHAN MOHAN, Guelph Royals – IBL Batter of the Week

IBL newcomer Ethan Mohan had an impressive first week hitting a .411 average with three doubles, two home runs and six RBI.

Mohan’s best performance came during a 11-7 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on father’s day where he went a perfect 4-for-4 with a double and a home run while running in five.

The Calgary, Alberta native is in his first season with the Royals.

CHRISTIAN HAUCK, Kitchener Panthers – IBL Pitcher of the Week

Christian Hauck has shown himself to be one of the most dominant pitchers in the IBL this season and this past week has been no different.

In his fourth win of the season on Friday, Christian went six innings with nine hits, zero earned runs while striking out eleven.

Thus far this season, Christian has recorded a 1.32 ERA with 41 strikeouts and only 25 walks.
