Nic Burdett drove in a pair of runs as Brantford (6-8) inched closer to .500. David Mendham singled, doubled and had an RBI and scored once, while Wilson Soriano went 2-for-5 with two runs. Marco Bandiera added an RBI, and Nate DeSouza swiped three bases. 

Euclides Leyer (1-3) picked up the win, going 6.1 innings and giving up three runs on seven hits with three walks and eight strikeouts. Tyler Gillies struck out two of three batters he faced in the ninth for his fourth save. 

For Guelph, Josh Garton had two hits and two RBI. Narciso Padilla drove in the other run. Darius Barlas singled twice and scored once. Ethan Mohan and Brendan Keys each had a hit and scored a run.

Yunior Yambatis (2-2) took the loss, giving up four runs on six hits in 6.2 innings. He walked five and struck out seven.
