Middletown, NJ - The Titans are proud to announce that their U15 Pure AYHL team will be led by long-time NHL veteran, Jim Dowd. Dowd will also serve as the Associate Practice Coach for the U12 Titans team. Dowd is the first and only New Jersey native to be drafted by the Devils right out of High School. Dowd is also the only NJ Native to win a championship at every level; 1986 NJSIAA State Championship Brick TWP HS, 1988 NCAA Championship Lake Superior State University, 1995 Stanley Cup Champions New Jersey Devils. Dowd played in the NHL for 17 seasons and holds 2 NHL Records. One of Jim's strong points while in the NHL was working with the rookies. He is a natural teacher of the game and often attended NHL training camps early to work with the younger players. In addition to his playing career he has now been coaching youth hockey for 10 years and has done a great job preparing kids to play at the next level. 

Titans Hockey Director, George Haviland, stated "What an opportunity for guys to play for Jim Dowd. His experience and knowledge of the game is tremendous and will be of great benefit to the players. We currently don't have a 2003 team within the AYHL so this is great for the organization to be able to bring in Jim Dowd at this level. We are really excited to have him lead and develop our players for the future within our organization."
