PIHL Players of the Month for February

Varsity AAA –  Mt. Lebanon – WYATT GEORGE

Junior Forward has led the charge for the Blue Devils and the rest of the AAA classification as leading point getter this season with 43 points (24 g and 19 a) in 18 games. Despite the team’s efforts in February going 0-3, the Blue Devils still qualified for the playoffs and Wyatt’s presence was felt as he factored in on 4 pts. (3 g and 1 a) with one of those goals being a pp goal for the month.   

Varsity AA – Armstrong – JACE REARIC

Junior forward who was also Armstrong’s regular season goal scoring leader (27). His efforts helped thrust Armstrong to a 3-1 record in February and into 1st place in northwest conference in AA and maintained that spot in securing a 1st round bye for the post-season. Jace contributed 4 g and 10 a for 14 pts. in just 4 games for the month!   

Varsity A – Thomas Jefferson – JOEY OLIVER

Junior forward helped Thomas Jefferson to a 3-0 record in February to lock-up 3rd place in A classification as well as earning a 1st round bye for post-season play. Joey pitched in with 6 pts. (5 g and 1 a) with a GWG and PP goal, respectively, out of those 5 tallies.

Varsity D2 – Moon – Shawn Hytla

Junior forward helped Moon to a 3-0 February showing, securing the #1 seed for D2 playoffs. As Moon’s regular season leading scorer with 21 points in 18 games, his February contributions were no different. He notched 3g and 2 a for 5 pts in 3 games, one of those goals being a PP tally. 

NOTE- All players selected for Player of the Month will receive tickets and be recognized at the Saturday, March 31st Pittsburgh Penguins home game vs. the Montreal Canadiens!
