Brad Lidge named to 2018 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

Former NYCBLer Brad Lidge has been named to the 2018 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot.

Lidge was a star pitcher at Notre Dame where he was Big East Conference Player of the Year in 1998.  He was drafted by the Houston Astros with the 17th overall pick in 1998.

Brad spent the summer of 1996 in the NYCBL where he played for the Ithaca Lakers.

Winning a World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008 highlighted an incredible season for Lidge where he was named to the All-Star Game along with NL Comeback Player of the Year, Delivery Man of the Year, and the NL Rolaids Relief Man Award.

His story book season in 1998 also saw Lidge finish fourth in the Cy Young voting.

Brad's career ended in 2012 where he finished with 225 saves in 603.1 IP across 11 seasons in the MLB.
