The first rankings of the 2017-18 season for ACHA Women's Division 2 were released on November 10th, with College Hockey East teams continuing to exude a strong national presence into this season.

Five CHE teams earned spots in the Top 10 of the East Region, including the Top 3 positions.  Buffalo (#1), Delaware (#2), and Navy (#3) pace the way after each of those teams made the ACHA W2 National Tournament last season.  But just as notably, Liberty (#6) and Pittsburgh (#9) make their first-ever appearances in these rankings as relatively-young programs.

The complete East Region rankings from the first ACHA W2 rankings period are listed below, compiled via a combination of computer rankings and a rankings committee.  The next rankings period will conclude on December 3rd, with Rankings #2 released that following week.  The final rankings period will include games played through February 11, 2018, from which the Top 6 seeds in the East will earn a trip to the ACHA Women's Division 2 National Tournament in March in Columbus, OH.
