Team Nova Scotia is made up of players from the East Coast Junior Lacrosse League (ECJLL), as well as former Nova Scotians playing elsewhere in Canada in 2016. The East Coast Junior Lacrosse League is made up of six teams, representing different areas within the Halifax Regional Municipality, Colchester County, and Moncton, New Brunswick. Each year, these teams compete to hoist the Garnet Knight Cup, which the Halifax Southwest Hurricanes have captured the past four years (2012-2015). Five players from the Hurricanes will be representing Nova Scotia at the 2016 Founders' Cup. This year's group is a young, but talented squad looking to make an impact in 2016 after missing the tournament in last summer in Calgary, Alberta.
