Behind a great game by Brendan Cook, who had two goals and one assist, Rittner Buam defeated Hafro SG Cortina, 6-3.

Cook scored at 55 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Rittner Buam and again while 11:25 into the second to make the score 4-3 Rittner Buam.

Rittner Buam also got points from Andreas Alber, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Mark Van Guilder, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Rittner Buam included Julian Kostner and Emanuel Scelfo, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Rittner Buam were Dan Tudin, who had one and Alex Frei, Brad Cole, and Christian Borgatello, who each chipped in two.

Hafro SG Cortina excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Hafro SG Cortina was led by Angelo Esposito, who grabbed two goals. Esposito scored the first of his two goals at 9:42 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Rittner Buam. Alexander Gellert assisted on the tally. Esposito's next tally made the score 2-2 with 17:58 left in the second period. Nicola Fontanive provided the assist. Hafro SG Cortina also got a goal from Riccardo Lacedelli as well. More assists for Hafro SG Cortina came via Marcello Ranallo and Andrea Moser, who contributed one each.

Hafro SG Cortina's starting goalie, Martino Valle Da Rin, made 14 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Alex Caffi, who stopped 12 shots.
