Walters nets hat trick, leads SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan to 4-2 win over Hockey Milano Rossoblu

Jason Walters netted a hat trick to lead the SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan Broncos over Hockey Milano Rossoblu, 4-2.

Walters got on the scoresheet 3:03 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:33 into the second and at 19:36 into the third.

SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan stifled Hockey Milano Rossoblu's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Daniel Erlacher also scored for SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan. In addition, SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan received assists from Matti Jonas Naatanen, who had three and R. Jordan Sayers Owens, Hannes Stofner, Philipp Grandi, Daniel Maffia, and Joni Juho Paavali Puurula, who each chipped in one.

Hockey Milano Rossoblu excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Hockey Milano Rossoblu could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Hockey Milano Rossoblu was helped by David Vallorani, who grabbed one goal. Vallorani scored 8:52 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nicola Fontanive provided the assist. Hockey Milano Rossoblu also got a goal from Niccolo Lo Russo as well. More assists for Hockey Milano Rossoblu came via Edoardo Caletti, Matthew Campanale, and Lorenzo Piccinelli, who contributed one each.

Puurula rejected 23 shots on goal for the Broncos. SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Alex Caffi recorded 31 saves for Hockey Milano Rossoblu. Hockey Milano Rossoblu registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
