Walters' big game bests SHC Fassa in 4-1 SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan win

Jason Walters was all over the ice for the SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan Broncos, as he tallied two goals and two assists in SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan's 4-1 win over SHC Fassa.

Walters found the back of the net 14:55 into the first period to make the score 2-1 SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan and again while 12:58 into the second to make the score 3-1 SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan.

The Broncos put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow SHC Fassa to score on any of its three power plays.

SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan additionally got points from Matti Jonas Naatanen, who also racked up one goal and one assist. SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan also got a goal from R. Jordan Sayers Owens as well. In addition, SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan received assists from Hannes Stofner, Fabian Hackhofer, and Daniel Maffia, who each chipped in one.

SHC Fassa was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 16 penalty minutes.

SHC Fassa was led by Mattia Bernard, who scored the team's only goal. Bernard scored 13:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Enrico Chelodi assisted on the tally.

Joni Juho Paavali Puurula rejected 15 shots on goal for SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan. The Broncos incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kai Arvi Peeter Tillanen recorded 27 saves for SHC Fassa.
