Pontebba squeaks by Alleghe, 4-2

The game between the Pontebba Aquile FVG and the Alleghe Civette was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Pontebba emerged with a 4-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Patrick Iannone at 12:05 of the third period.

The Aquile FVG got the win on the strength of a great game by Iannone, who had one goal and three assists.

Pontebba could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 57 minutes in penalties during the game. The Aquile FVG were held back by their power play unit, which tallied two goals on 12 chances.

Pontebba additionally got points from Brian Stephen Ihnacak, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Tommy Goebel also scored for Pontebba. In addition, Pontebba received assists from Luca Rigoni, Kevin Devergilio, and Matt Waddell, who each chipped in one.

Alleghe was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 34 penalty minutes.

Alex Petizian rejected 19 shots on goal for Pontebba. Adam Dennis recorded 36 saves for the Civette. Alleghe registered two goals on seven power play opportunities.
