Garret Bembridge scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and the Valpellice Bulldogs picked up the extra point in a 3-2 win over Asiago.

The two teams needed four turns to complete the shootout. In addition to the clincher, Valpellice got a shootout goal from Bembridge.

The Bulldogs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Asiago to score on any of its three power plays.

Asiago excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Valpellice's Steve Valiquette stopped 40 shots out of the 42 that he faced. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jeff Lerg turned away 37 pucks between the pipes for Asiago. Asiago incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
