Patrick Mair gave the SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan Broncos a 4-3 (OT) victory over the HC Gherdeina Furie when he scored 46 seconds into the extra period.

SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Broncos was down 3-0 after a goal by HC Gherdeina's Ivan Demetz at 17:32 in the second period. SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Derek Eastman at 11:16 in the third period.

Eastman was all over the ice for the Broncos, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Eastman scored the first of his two goals at 27 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 HC Gherdeina. Trevor Jon Caig assisted on the tally. Eastman's next tally made the score with 8:44 left in the third period. Caig picked up the assist.

SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Furie to score on any of their nine power plays. The defensemen of the Broncos were also effective in HC Gherdeina's zone, and came away with three goals.

Simon Baur also scored for SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan. More assists for SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan came via Philipp Pircher, Gunnar Braito, and Christian Sottsas, who contributed one a piece.

The Furie were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 18 penalty minutes.

HC Gherdeina was helped by Kevin Senoner, who racked up one goal. Senoner scored 2:50 into the second period to make the score 2-0 HC Gherdeina. Ryan Gaucher provided the assist. HC Gherdeina also got points from Gaucher, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, HC Gherdeina received assists from Gabriel Lang, who had one and Benjamin Kostner, who had two.

Charles Albert Corsi recorded 35 saves for SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan. The Broncos incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. Florian Grossgasteiger made 27 saves for the Furie on 31 shots.
