A hat trick by Thomas Frazee was the highlight in Mallards' 7-3 win against the St. Charles Chill.

Frazee's first goal came 7:08 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:26 into the first and at 5:38 into the third.

The Quad City Mallards bested their season scoring average. Quad City averages 3.3 goals per game.

Quad City also got points from Michael Monfredo, who also had one goal and one assist. Justin Fox also scored for Quad City. In addition, Quad City received assists from Nicholas Rioux, Jeff Lee, Gergo Nagy, Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel, and Nick Grasso, who contributed one each and Jordan Mayer, Mike Stinziani, and Matt Boyd, who each chipped in two.

With 25 shots on target during the contest, St. Charles exceeded the 18.9 shots it averages per game this year.

The Chill were helped by Britt Ouelette, who grabbed one goal. Ouelette scored 5:15 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Quad City. Kyle OKane provided the assist. St. Charles additionally got points from John Snowden, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Charles Lachance, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for St. Charles came via Nicklas Lindberg, who had one and Martin Hlinka, who had two.

Thomas Heemskerk recorded 22 saves for the Mallards. Quad City incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Linus Lundin rejected 23 shots on goal for St. Charles. The Chill incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
