Wichita downs Tulsa, 4-1

Matt Summers had one point to lead the Wichita Thunder to a 4-1 victory over the Tulsa Oilers.

Wichita relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Ian Lowe, Jesse Dudas and Andrew Martens took 18 of the team's 35 shots.

Matt Robinson also scored for Wichita. In addition, Wichita received assists from Nick McParland, RG Flath, Jon Madden, Jarkko Leppanen, and Jon Booras, who each chipped in one.

Tulsa stifled the Thunder's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Oilers could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Tulsa averages 3.4 goals per game. The Oilers relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Ben Gordon, Ryan Menei and Nathan Lutz took 13 of the team's 23 shots.

Other players who recorded assists for Tulsa were Adam Pleskach, who had one.

David Brown recorded 22 saves for Wichita. The Thunder incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Tulsa's Shane Madolora stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Oilers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Tulsa ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Lutz was ejected from the game.
