Rapid City had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the St. Charles Chill.

Jared Brown was all over the ice for Rapid City, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Brown scored on the power play 11:27 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Rapid City. Rapid City had gotten the advantage when St. Charles' Nicklas Lindberg was sent off for cross checking. Sean Erickson picked up the assist.

Rapid City was led by goalie Tim Boron, who finished with 32 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Boron will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.45.

Rapid City stifled the Chill's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Rapid City put 34 shots on net during the contest, more than the 30.8 it averages per game.

In addition, Rapid City received assists from Kevin Harvey, who had two and Jesse Schultz, Scott Wray, Justin Faryna, Konrad Reeder, and Scott Brannon, who each chipped in one.

The Chill were led by Zack Josepher, who scored the team's only goal. Josepher scored 14:53 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Rapid City. Steve Anthony provided the assist.
