Ramsay lifts Missouri over Wichita, 4-1

Mike Ramsay was all over the ice for the Missouri Mavericks, as he tallied two goals in Missouri's 4-1 win over the Wichita Thunder.

Ramsay scored at 4:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 13:08 into the third to make the score 3-1 Missouri.

Wichita was stymied by the Mavericks netminder Shane Owen, who stopped 36 shots during the victory. Owen managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.54 prior to the game.

Missouri additionally got points from Eric Castonguay, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Rob Kleebaum also scored for Missouri. In addition, Missouri received assists from Sebastien Thinel, who had two and Dave Pszenyczny, Evan Vossen, Matt Stephenson, and Andrew Courtney, who contributed one a piece.

The Thunder did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Wichita averages 3.1 goals per game. Missouri was unable to stop the Thunder from sending pucks towards the net, and Wichita eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

The Thunder were led by Andrew Martens, who scored the team's only goal. Martens scored 14:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wichita. RG Flath picked up the assist.
