The Arizona Sundogs' Jordan Clendenning scored 1:18 into overtime to beat the Denver Cutthroats, 4-3 (OT).

Arizona overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Sundogs fell behind 3-1 after a goal by Denver's Garrett Bembridge at 6:19 in the third period. Arizona tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Matt McCready at 16:51 in the third period.

The Sundogs were sparked by Clendenning, who had one goal.

Arizona got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. With 38 shots on target during the contest, the Sundogs exceeded the 26.2 shots they average per game this year.

Arizona also got points from McCready, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Arizona included Garrett Clarke and Paul McIlveen, who scored one goal each. In addition, Arizona received assists from Michael Trebish, who had two and Bryan Cameron, Johan Ryd, Mark Isherwood, Ian Schultz, and Justin Pender, who contributed one a piece.

The Cutthroats relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Bembridge, Daniel Barczuk and Troy Schwab took 24 of the team's 39 shots.

Denver also got a goal from Jean-Philipp Chabot as well. Other players who recorded assists for Denver were Lee Moffie, Jason Cohen, and Steve Kaunisto, who each chipped in one.

Andrew Engelage made 36 saves for Arizona on 39 shots. The Sundogs totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. Travis Bosch rejected 34 shots on goal for Denver. The Cutthroats totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play.
