A stellar performance between the pipes by Andrew Engelage helped the Arizona Sundogs defeat the Denver Cutthroats, 4-1. Arizona was paced by Paul McIlveen, who finished with one goal and one assist. McIlveen scored 2:38 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Arizona. Brandon Coccimiglio assisted on the tally. The Sundogs put 33 shots on net during the contest, more than the 25.9 they average per game. Arizona also got points from David Rutherford, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Arizona included Kevin Baker and Justin Pender, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Arizona were Matt McCready and Bryan Cameron, who each chipped in one. Denver could not produce up to it normal offensive output.
