The St. Charles Chill had trouble finding ways to stop the Allen Americans, which beat Chill, 5-2. Allen got the win with help from a great game by Spencer Asuchak, who had two goals and one assist. Asuchak scored the first of his two goals at 1:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Allen. Tyler Ludwig provided the assist. Asuchak's next tally made the score 4-1 Allen with 18:28 left in the second period. With 35 shots on target during the contest, the Americans exceeded the 28.1 shots they average per game this year. Allen also got points from Alex Lavoie, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Allen included Darryl Bootland and Jonathan Lessard, who scored one goal each. In addition, Allen received assists from Jamie Schaafsma, who had one and Kale Kerbashian and Ross Rouleau, who each chipped in two. St. Charles stifled Allen's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Chill's offense was clicking better than usual and put 22 shots on goal during the game, better than the 14.3 shots per game they average. St. Charles was helped by Kyle OKane, who grabbed one goal. OKane scored on the power play 17:49 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Allen. A slashing penalty on Lessard had put the Chill on the power play. Sean Muncy assisted on the tally. St. Charles also got a goal from Frank Littlejohn as well. More assists for St. Charles came via Dan Weiss and Martin Hlinka, who contributed one a piece. Bryan Pitton made 20 saves for the Americans on 22 shots. Allen incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. St. Charles' starting goalie, Robert Moss, made seven saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Linus Lundin, who stopped 23 shots. The Chill incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
