The Quad City Mallards' Michael Monfredo scored 2:23 into overtime to beat the Denver Cutthroats, 4-3 (OT). Denver could not complete its climb out of a three-goal hole. Quad City made the score 3-0 on a goal by Jason Dixon at 13:37 in the second period. The Cutthroats pulled to within 3-2 on a goal by Gabe Gauthier at 3:42 in the third period. The Mallards were sparked by Monfredo, who had one goal and one assist. Quad City failed to reach its usual level of shot production, putting 21 pucks on goal after averaging 27.0 shots per game this season. Quad City also got points from Dixon, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jason Kostadine also scored for Quad City. Other players who recorded assists for Quad City were Patrik Levesque, who had two and Anthony Perdicaro, Matt Boyd, Matt Duffy, and Mike Hellyer, who each chipped in one.
