John Snowden had two goals and one assist to lead the Fort Worth Brahmas to a 6-1 victory over the Allen Americans.

Snowden scored at 8:51 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Fort Worth and again while 17:22 into the second to make the score 4-1 Fort Worth.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 6:28 into the third period. Six fighting penalties were dished out along with 10 game misconducts.

Fort Worth surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Brahmas average 2.9 goals per game. Fort Worth relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Snowden, Ross Rouleau and Phil Fox took 19 of the team's 35 shots. Team could not crack Allen's penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having 10 opportunities to play with the man advantage.

Fort Worth additionally got points from Fox, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Sy Nutkevitch, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Rouleau, who also had one goal and one assist. Austin Mayer also scored for Fort Worth. More assists for Fort Worth came via Shawn Szydlowski, Gregg Eskedjian, and Nick Schneider, who each chipped in one and Brendon Hodge and Tomas Klempa, who contributed two a piece.

The Americans racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 10 minors and four majors for 140 minutes in penalty time. Allen had been averaging 25.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Americans could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Allen puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game.

The Americans were led by Brian McMillin, who scored the team's only goal. McMillin scored on the power play 4:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Allen. A slashing penalty on Schneider had put Allen on the power play. Anthony Maiani assisted on the tally.

Kristofer Westblom rejected 19 shots on goal for the Brahmas. Fort Worth ended with 38 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors. Team's Szydlowski and Westblom were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. The Americans' starting goalie, Steve Silverthorn, made 26 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Aaron Dell, who stopped three shots. Allen registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For the Americans, Mike Berube, Trevor Hendrikx, Dell, Alex Penner, and Garrett Clarke were ejected from the contest.
