Obi Aduba was all over the ice for the Quad City Mallards, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Quad City's 5-0 win over the Arizona Sundogs.

Aduba's tallies came on the power play at 12:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Quad City and 18:46 into the first to make the score 2-0 Quad City.

John Murray frustrated Arizona's offense all game, and stopped 36 shots en route to a shutout. The solid play of Murray will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.65.

The Mallards' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Arizona power plays. The 28 shots that Quad City put on net surpassed the Mallards' average of 23.5 shots per game this season. Quad City outdid its season average for goals scored. The Mallards have scored at the pace of 2.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Quad City also got points from Patrik Levesque, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Quad City also got a goal from Gabriel Boutin-Gagnon as well. In addition, Quad City received assists from Matt Boyd, who had two and Bob Preece, Michael Monfredo, Anthony Perdicaro, Mitch McColm, and Jason Dixon, who each chipped in one.

The Sundogs were held below their usual level of production. Arizona averages 2.7 goals per game. Quad City was unable to stop the Sundogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Arizona eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. The Sundogs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

Arizona was led by Jake Hauswirth, who took eight shots.

The Mallards incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Sundogs' Adam Russo stopped 23 shots out of the 28 that he faced.
