The game between the Quad City Mallards and Rapid City was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Quad City emerged with a 4-2 win. Rapid City's defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 12 shots between them. Rapid City was helped by Scott Brannon, who tallied one goal and one assist.
