The Allen Americans could not hold down the Tulsa Oilers, and Oilers erased a three-goal deficit en route to a 5-4 win.

Tulsa let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a three hole to pick up the win. The Oilers took a 4-3 advantage on a goal by Drew Fisher at 17:43 in the second period. Tulsa found itself down 3-0 after Allen's Scotty Howes put the puck home on the power play at 1:13 in the second period. After tying things up at 4-4 on a goal by Howes at 19:47 in the second, the Oilers got the game-winner from Ben Gordon at 10:40 in the third period.

Tulsa surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Oilers average 2.9 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. By firing 35 shots on goal, Tulsa exceeded the 26.1 shots it averages per game this year.
