Jarret Lukin netted a hat trick to lead the Allen Americans over the Tulsa Oilers, 6-3. Lukin notched his first tally 15:03 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:48 into the second and at 5:03 into the third.Allen pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 15 penalty minutes. The Americans put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Tulsa to score on any of its six power plays. Allen relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Lukin, Jamie Schaafsma and Darryl Bootland took 18 of the team's 29 shots. Allen also got points from Schaafsma, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Brian McMillin also scored for Allen. More assists for Allen came via Brett Skinner, who had two and Tyler Ludwig and Adam Pineault, who each chipped in three. The Oilers' penalty kill unit could not stop the Americans' power play, which converted on three of five opportunities. Tulsa was led by Michel Beausoleil, who had one goal and one assist. Beausoleil scored 9:25 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Tulsa. David Beauregard provided the assist. Tulsa also got a goal from Ben Gordon as well. Other players who recorded assists for Tulsa were Ryan Menei and Matt Register, who contributed one a piece. Steve Silverthorn rejected 23 shots on goal for Allen. Ian Keserich took the loss and made 23 saves before being replaced by Dan Bakala who made zero saves. The Oilers ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
