The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Bloomington Blaze held on for a 3-2 victory. Bloomington made the score 3-1 on a goal by Jerry Pollastrone at 12:52 in the second period, and Rio Grande Valley got as close as 3-2 when Craig Lineker scored 8:09 into the third period.
