The Quad City Mallards used a sparkling performance by Ty Rimmer to take down the Arizona Sundogs, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Quad City's 3-0 shutout victory. The Mallards were paced by Gergo Nagy, who racked up one goal. Nagy scored 1:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Quad City. Matt Boyd provided the assist. Arizona ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major.
