The Allen Americans rallied from three goals down to secure a 6-3 win over the Arizona Sundogs.

Allen never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Americans was down 3-0 after a goal by Arizona's Shawn Limpright at 17:53 in the first period. Allen tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Jamie Schaafsma at 17:49 in the third period. The Americans got the game winner at 18:46 in the third period on a goal by Schaafsma.

Schaafsma had one goal and two assists to lead Allen.

The Americans excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Allen surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Americans average 3.7 goals per game. Allen got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game. By firing 33 shots on goal, the Americans exceeded the 23.5 shots they average per game this year.

Allen also got points from Ross Rouleau, who also registered one goal and one assist. Arizona additionally got points from Limpright, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Jason Morgan, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Johan Ryd also scored for Arizona. Other players who recorded assists for Arizona were Kevin Baker, who had one.
