Wichita rolls over Missouri, 3-0

The Wichita Thunder had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over the Missouri Mavericks.

Wichita was paced by Matt Summers, who tallied one goal. Summers scored 10:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wichita. Mike Wilson provided the assist.

The Thunder relied heavily on their defensemen to assist their forwards, and the blueliners responded by scoring two goals on 11 shots.

Wichita additionally got points from Wilson, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jon Madden also scored for Wichita. More assists for Wichita came via RG Flath, who had one.

Missouri was held below its usual level of production. The Mavericks average 3.6 goals per game.

Missouri was led by Sebastien Thinel, who took four shots.

David Brown rejected 24 shots on goal for Wichita. The Thunder incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Mavericks' Shane Owen stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Missouri incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
