Silverstein Eye Centers Arena    Tue, Feb 25, 2014

Bryan Pitton stood on his head and made 37 saves to lead the Allen Americans to a 4-1 victory over the Missouri Mavericks.

Allen was sparked by Jonathan Lessard, who racked up one goal and one assist. Lessard scored 4:59 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Allen. Brian McMillin picked up the assist.

By firing 30 shots on goal, the Americans exceeded the 23.5 shots they average per game this year. Allen's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Tyler Ludwig also scored for Allen. More assists for Allen came via Alex Lavoie, who had three and Mike Berube and Jonathon Zion, who contributed one a piece.

Missouri did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Mavericks average 3.6 goals per game. The Americans were unable to stop Missouri from sending pucks towards the net, and the Mavericks eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.
