The Brampton Beast gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Tulsa Oilers.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Josh McQuade secured the win for Brampton with a goal in the third period.

The Beast were led by McQuade, who registered one goal and one assist. McQuade scored on the power play 1:34 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Brampton. Brampton had gained a power play chance when Ben Gordon was whistled for slashing. Dan Milan picked up the assist.

The Beast stifled Tulsa's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The 26 shots that Brampton put on net surpassed the Beast's average of 22.6 shots per game this season.

Brampton also got points from Jason Pitton, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Brampton included Calin Wild and Michael Couch, who each put in one. In addition, Brampton received assists from Dylan Quaile and Grant Rollheiser, who contributed one a piece.

The Oilers' defensemen bolstered Tulsa's offensive attack, as they bombarded Rollheiser with 17 shots. With 35 shots on target during the contest, the Oilers exceeded the 27.8 shots they average per game this year.

Tulsa was helped by Craig Cescon, who grabbed one goal. Cescon scored 2:24 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Tulsa. Ryan Menei provided the assist. Tulsa additionally got points from Gordon, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for Tulsa came via Kyle Bochek, who had one.

Rollheiser rejected 33 shots on goal for Brampton. The Beast incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Oilers' Shane Madolora stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Tulsa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
