Reeder nets hat trick, leads Rapid City to 7-2 win over St. Charles

Konrad Reeder lifted Rapid City to a 7-2 victory with a hat trick against the St. Charles Chill.

Reeder's first goal came 4:24 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:53 into the second and at 18:17 into the third.

Rapid City outdid its season average for goals scored. Rapid City averages 3.8 goals per game.

Rapid City also got points from Jesse Schultz, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Rapid City also had goals scored by Justin Faryna, Matthew Larke, and Kyle Stroh, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Rapid City were Tristin Llewellyn and Scott Brannon, who each chipped in one and Eric Giosa and Sean Erickson, who contributed two a piece.

The 25 shots that St. Charles put on net surpassed the Chill's average of 21.0 shots per game this season. St. Charles' defensemen played well offensively, producing two goals while racking up 13 shots.

The Chill were led by Nicklas Lindberg, who dished out two assists.

Keaton Hartigan recorded 23 saves for Rapid City. Rapid City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Linus Lundin made 23 saves for St. Charles on 30 shots. The Chill incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
