Missouri survives Tulsa comeback, wins 4-3

The Missouri Mavericks, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Missouri and clinched a 4-3 victory.

The Mavericks led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Missouri's Eric Castonguay's scored on the power play at 16:59 in the first period to put the Mavericks up 3-0.

Missouri was led by John-Scott Dickson, who had one goal. Dickson scored on the power play 3:32 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Missouri. The Mavericks had gained a power play chance when Eric Tallent was whistled for tripping. Trevor Kell picked up the assist.

Missouri cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances.

Missouri also got points from Mike Ramsay, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Matt Stephenson, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Missouri came via Anders Franzon, Obi Aduba, Andrew Courtney, and Sebastien Thinel, who each chipped in one.

The Tulsa Oilers' offense was clicking better than usual and put 40 shots on goal during the game, better than the 29.7 shots per game they average.

Tulsa additionally got points from Ben Gordon, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Adam Pleskach also scored for Tulsa. In addition, Tulsa received assists from Kyle Bochek, Todd Robinson, Jarred Mohr, Brandon Coccimiglio, and Michel Beausoleil, who contributed one a piece.

Joe Howe rejected 37 shots on goal for the Mavericks. Missouri incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Shane Madolora made nine saves before being replaced by Ross MacKinnon, who took the loss and made nine saves. Tulsa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
