Dell, Allen blank Denver, 4-0

Aaron Dell recorded a shutout against the Denver Cutthroats as the Allen Americans picked up a 4-0 win.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Denver faces elimination next time out.

Allen was led by Jarret Lukin, who tallied one goal and one assist. Lukin scored on the power play 10:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Allen. The Americans had gained a power play chance when Joel Chouinard was whistled for roughing. Mike Montgomery assisted on the tally.

Allen's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Denver power plays.

Bryce Aneloski also scored for Allen. More assists for Allen came via Brian McMillin, Justin Kirsch, Kale Kerbashian, Jamie Schaafsma, Trevor Ludwig, and Todd Robinson, who contributed one a piece.

The Cutthroats were led by Mikael Bedard, who took four shots.

Dell rejected 25 shots on goal for the Americans. Allen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Denver's Kent Patterson stopped 18 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Cutthroats incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
